| Tiki came to live with us
when she was in whelp with puppies sired by Spring Lad. She was seven years
old at the time and she fit right in to our family. She is a very sweet
dog that is mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to many of the dogs
featured on this very page so it is only fitting to have her as Dog of
the Month in May for Mother's Day.
She has done everything I have ever asked of her with such grace and
sweetness including learning obedience and agility with my neighbor's children
for 4-H. She has helped make points for many of her offspring including
the first AKC Champion for the breed. She has two champion daughters and
one that is doing great things in agility. She has several more that are
working toward their championships and doing many other things such as
herding, obedience, and therapy work.
Tiki may be retired from the whelping box but she is far from done contributing
to the breed. We are looking forward to the many things she has yet to
accomplish. |
