Later is the son of my beloved Flynn and an amazing dog in his own right. I love him to pieces.
Later got his call name when he was the first puppy out of the whelping box (multiple times) and completely unconcerned about leaving his siblings behind. It was as if he was telling them "See ya later!".
He is very laid-back for a Canaan Dog. Sometimes I wish he had a little more fire like his father, but his temperament has made him a wonderful therapy dog. Later listens to children read to him at our local library, and before the pandemic he worked outside the Family Court room, calming anxious children and their guardians awaiting custody and adoption hearings.
He has a diversity of titles, and perhaps most notably he was Best of Breed at our 2016 National Specialty under breed expert Myrna Shiboleth. Later has sired two outstanding litters thus far, gifting them with his wonderful structure and temperament.
But above all Later is my treasured companion. May he live long and prosper!
