After two years of research
and waiting, it was time to pick out my
Canaan
Dog puppy. I’ve had Akitas for over 35 years, and my
Rescue boy Kola came too. We arrived from
Colorado
, and I went into the backyard to
watch the adults and puppies. I sat down on the ground to watch when a little
cream colored female came over, gave me a kiss, then curled up in my lap. Her
Mother came over and gave me a kiss too. I had been chosen, and definitely fell
in love!
If I bend over to
pick something up Keisha does a puppy bow and wants to play. When she thinks I
need to take a break, Keisha herds me over to the recliner to relax, then curls
up in my lap to be sure I stay there a while. Gentle little paw pats to get my
attention, bringing toys and rolling balls to engage me in play, what fun she
is.
