When she was born, breeder and co-owner, Liz Hebert, named this flashy liver red and white girl, “Rivi”, which means “Lady” in Cajun, and what a lady this Canaan turned out to become. Although she was 15 months old when she joined the Gordon “pack”, Rivi soon settled in and within 3 show weekends attained her AKC Championship. Although her liver red coloring prevented her from being shown in UKC conformation, three of her offspring from her first and only litter became UKC Champions with one of them earning points towards his UKC Grand Championship. Rivi’s ring time hasn’t been limited to conformation as she has herding and rally titles to her name, proving that she has brains as well as beauty. At home, she enjoys the company of her buddy, Smudge, and striking fear in the hearts of unwary rabbits and squirrels, who dare to invade “her” backyard.
