Meet Arrow - Canaan Dog of the Forest
Arrow's sweetness and interest in all people has earned him celebrity status in our small community. He is so charismatic to strangers that he often sells tree jobs for the company. Owners are actually disappointed when they hear that he has not shown up with the crew. Arrow is very much a part of the team, greeting the workers every morning, and on hand as they begin the noisy process of heading out for the day.
When not riding around the County in the company truck, Arrow is ever vigilant of his house, his shop, his cats, and the ten wooded acres where he lives off-leash. He thrives on digging for "landmines" (moles), and patrolling his territory keeping guard, sounding off at all disturbances, both seen and unseen ... just to be extra sure!
Arrow enjoys multiple off-leash pack walks each day with his forest pals Abel and Bogey. While Arrow's prey drive is strong, we have achieved excellent recall with him after intensive years of training. We trust his skills in a forest setting, and are working with him in other situations and environments.
We hope to meet other crazy CD devotees in Ohio at the next Specialty.
