All we wanted was a puppy. But Avi was the only puppy available, and he was “show quality.” So we agreed to show him, and the rest is, well, history.
Avi was a handsome puppy, but he was also unruly. He broke Cynthia’s finger in Canine Good Citizen class. He lost the breed at his first show by spinning in circles. After an obedience intervention things changed, and he began winning the classes. Then the breed, the group, and even Best in Show. Recently he won a historic group placement at the National Dog Show.
Avi’s not just another pretty face. He has also earned herding, coursing, and Fast CAT titles. Because of his conformation, movement, and engaging personality he has been an incredible ambassador for the Canaan Dog breed. But most importantly, he is a beloved member of our family.
